Enchanted 3 (2026)

Enchanted (2007) enchanted audiences with its whimsical charm, combining animated fairytale magic with live-action reality. Its 2012 sequel, Disenchanted, further explored the trials of Giselle as she navigated her happily ever after. Now, Enchanted 3 (2026) returns with a fresh story that brings back the beloved characters of Giselle (Amy Adams), Robert (Patrick Dempsey), and their daughter, Morgan (now played by a new actress as she’s grown older), and introduces new enchanting adventures that continue the blend of fairytale whimsy and real-world complications.

Plot:
In Enchanted 3, Giselle and Robert have settled into suburban life in Monroeville, where their fairy-tale dreams are being tested by the monotony of real life. Giselle is still the optimistic, idealistic character we’ve come to love, but after several years in the real world, she begins to question whether the “happily ever after” she envisioned is enough. The sparkle of her fairytale dreams begins to dim as she grapples with the responsibilities of motherhood, her marriage, and the realities of adult life.
Just as Giselle is beginning to feel overwhelmed, an unexpected magical event throws her family back into the world of Andalasia—the animated fairytale land where her journey began. A new magical villain (played by a new actor with a captivating presence) appears, threatening to undo the happiness Giselle has worked so hard to build. This new antagonist wields a powerful, unpredictable magic that distorts the boundaries between Andalasia and the real world, blending the two in chaotic and dangerous ways.
As Giselle, Robert, and Morgan journey into Andalasia once again, they must confront not only a new threat but also their own fears, regrets, and dreams for the future. With the help of old friends—such as the ever-loyal Pip the chipmunk (voiced by James Marsden) and the resourceful Prince Edward (James Marsden)—they must fight to restore the balance between the fairytale world and their own.
Action & Humor:
Enchanted 3 is packed with both humor and action. While the comedic tone is light-hearted and whimsical, it also explores deeper emotions as Giselle faces the more complicated aspects of life. The magical mishaps that occur as a result of the villain’s meddling are both hilarious and thrilling, with moments of chaos that turn everyday situations into absurd adventures. For example, everyday objects and mundane settings suddenly become magical and unpredictable, forcing Giselle to rely on her fairytale sensibilities to navigate the modern world’s problems.
The action sequences are a delightful mix of animated fantasy and real-world stakes. There are moments of high-energy chases, magical duels, and emotional confrontations. The villain’s magic allows for several dynamic and inventive set-pieces, from enchanted objects coming to life in unexpected ways to whimsical, heart-pounding moments where the characters must use their wits and courage to outmaneuver danger.
Character Dynamics:
Amy Adams once again brings Giselle’s signature warmth and optimism to life, though this time, we see a deeper side to her character. Giselle is struggling with a sense of self-doubt as her perfect fairytale life begins to clash with the realities of adulthood. She must learn to balance her dreams with the realities of family and responsibility, and her journey is both funny and poignant.
